This client is looking for a Managing Director in the Tax Department in their office North of Boston. The position will manage engagements for a wide range of clients ranging from global corporations, to closely held companies, to emerging entities.

Candidates should be entrepreneurial, critical thinkers, and highly energized, with excellent communication and supervisory skills. Responsibilities include

  • Provide tax planning and compliance services
  • Conduct multi-state tax filings
  • Perform tax accruals
  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering clients industry expertise and knowledge
  • Work closely with engagement teams to continually add value to clients
  • Train and mentor tax associates

Qualifications include

  • BA or BS in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • CPA certification or equivalent is required
  • MS in Taxation is desired
  • 15+ plus years of experience
  • International tax experience is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship management skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Prior experience with ProSystem fx Tax, BNA products, and CCH
  • Intelliconnect is desired
